| Race Discrimination in Toledo and other areas of Ohio |

Employees who work in Toledo or other areas of Ohio are generally protected against race-based
workplace discrimination by both the Ohio Civil Rights Act and by Title VII of the Civil Rights
Act of 1964. Race discrimination can take many forms, including (but not limited to) failure to
hire or failure to promote, racially hostile work environment, subjection to different treatment,
including harsher discipline, than employees of another race, denial of training or experience
granted to employees of another race, retaliation for reporting racial discrimination, or wrongful
termination motivated by race.
